Bonn is a jack of many trades. He’s been acting professionally since his senior year of high school, scoring numerous gigs ranging from no-budget comedy flicks to hollywood box office hits. Recently he hosted his own show on Canada’s largest music television station, MuchMusic, where he interviewed world renowned bands, partied with the rich and famous, and never wore skinny jeans… Bonn started working with Tigheland when he was cast as one of the leading roles in “The Backshop Show” as “PP”. Roy Tighe stated “Right when I first met Bonn, I knew he was going to be a star”. Bonn did a great job throughout the entire series of “The Backshop Show” really bringing his character and ideas to life. Bonn also was also involved in another Tigheland project “Lake Cop 2“, the trailer was actually filmed at Bonn’s home. He also played a small role as one of the ninja’s.
Three months after he was hired for the dream job at Much Music, he was fired (explosion sounds!). It was after this life changing event that Bonn decided to pursue one of his greatest (and most secret) passions – music.
Bonn hooked up with Daniel Elmes (2 time Juno nominated producer) and spent 4 months recording his first full length album, Secret Lives, which is set for release January, 2012. He continues to act in Vancouver, BC and will surely be touring in a city near you soon – unless you live in Yemen, he doesn’t want to go to Yemen. Check out his youtube page below, and be sure to watch the music video for his first single, Far From Home, which was filmed around the island where he grew up.
