Matt Cohen

Matt Cohen is based out of Melbourne Australia, he’s an actor, producer, musician and founder/owner of Findie.  Matt was first introduced to us at Tigheland through Graeme Morgan.  Matt and Graeme became good friends in 2008 when Graeme traveled over to Australia, meeting Matt on the set of the HBO show “The Pacific”.  They both worked as actors on the show and quickly became friends.  Matt then a year latter decided to travel over to Vancouver, Canada to reunite with his friend Graeme.  Matt was immediately introduced to Roy Tighe and the Tigheland crew, quickly fitting in and collaborating with them.  The First project they worked on was “Curtis Hewlett Man At Work“.  Matt played the role of Curtis Hewlett’s boss.  Early that year Matt, Roy and Graeme entered the Whistler 72hr. film festival with their project “Gangland-Enter Team Jet Pack“.  Matt ran camera and helped with production. They placed in the top 5 out of 100′s of entry’s in the festival.  Later that summer of (2009) Matt worked with Tigheland in all aspects.  He was part of the writing team for The Backshop Show and the production team.  He ran camera for episodes 6 part 1, 2 and 3.  He also had a small improv bit in Part 3 with PP (Bonn Smith).  Matt was also a huge driving force creatively and production wise behind the movie Lake Cop 2.  He collaborated with Brent Cooper, Roy and Graeme on the project, bringing great ideas for the screenplay and trailer which was shot in the summer of 2009.   Matt is currently back in Melbourne and has recently founded the company FindieFindie is an independently run and funded web-based social network aimed at Independent Stage and Screenwriters, Cinematographers, Producers, Actors and Directors.  Findie delivers you the means to network with like-minded people and receive essential feedback and most of all – exposure.  At Findie you can upload your original independent project for people to view, rate, read, comment and get involved in.
